Ryan Darling - Lead Guitar and Vocals
With
over a decade of guitar playing experience under his finger tips this Blues
aficionado has been described as being “seriously impressive, his finger tips
up and down the frets like they’re bionic.” Other quotes from the Island
Hopper (Tiffany Yates) include: “put him behind the mic, and his ferocious
fingers crank out blues licks with sure-handed speed, combining with his
full-throated, blues-coated voice to metamorphose him into a charismatic front
man. “Ryan Darling who is the Superman of entertainers in his own right
(mild-mannered, bespectacled boy who morphs into sexy, gifted rock star
onstage)” plays an upbeat selection of old and new style blues from artists
such as BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Sam Cooke and James
Brown. In the September 2004 issue of Gulfshore
BUSINESS Ryan was featured in an article named After Hours because of the
contrast between his profession and hobby. “After hours Darling clambers out
of his cocoon. The 25-year-old guitarist fronts his bluesy rock band in gigs
from Marco Island to Bonita, coaxing out hard-driving riffs reminiscent of his
major musical influence, Stevie Ray. Be sure and catch his weekly appearances
every Tuesday night from 8:30 to 1:00 at Sneaky Pete’s in Bonita Springs.
Ryan had decided to branch out from his highly successful four piece Blues/Rock
band and start a solo act (Ryan Darling - UNPLUGGED). He’ll be performing
tunes by artists such as The Eagles, Jimmy Buffet, C.W. Colt, Van Morrison,
Wilson Pickett, Neil Diamond, Little Richard, Bob Segar, and of course Stevie
Ray Vaughan. The acoustic guitar is the only instrument used to accompany
vocals.
